Camden (N.J.) four-star wide receiver Jaylan Hornsby is one of Penn State’s top offensive targets in the 2024 class, and he’s set to return to Happy Valley next month.

Hornsby announced on Friday that he will be back at Penn State on April 7 for an unofficial visit, his second since the new year and third overall.

Hornsby is the No. 275 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 46 wide receiver and the No. 4 recruit in the state of New Jersey.

In addition to the Nittany Lions, he holds offers from Rutgers, Illinois, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Georgia, Notre Dame, Michigan, Oregon and more than 15 other programs.

The Scarlet Knights and Illini both hosted him in January, along with Penn State, and he returned to Rutgers earlier this month. Rutgers currently holds the lead in the race to land him, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

Hornsby has an On3 NIL Valuation of $54K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
