Andy Kotelnicki plans to be back as the offensive coordinator for Penn State.

Amidst interest in him in this coaching carousel, Kotelnicki tweeted on Monday to confirm his intention to remain with the Nittany Lions moving forward.

“Beyond lucky to be a part of the Penn State Football Family. Still a lot to accomplish this season and I am looking forward to what 2025 has in store for our program! #WeAre,” Kotelnicki wrote on Twitter.

He has since tweeted again with the well-known meme from The Wolf of Wall Street in response to his wife.

Again, this comes following interest in him in other jobs in college football. That’s namely relating to reports connecting him to eventual interviews for the open head coaching job at West Virginia. Those were along with potential other roles as an offensive coordinator elsewhere.

Kotelnicki is in his first season as the OC in Happy Valley. Penn State has posted the No. 25 scoring offense that has averaged 33.6 ppg. along with 448.6 yards of offense. That has included better balance in their offense with an improved year from QB Drew Allar along with great production in the run game, specifically from Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen.

Prior to Penn State, Kotelnicki worked under Lance Leipold for over a decade. He was his offensive coordinator at Kansas, including one as associate head coach, as well as Buffalo and Wisconsin Whitewater. In their nine together with the Jayhawks and Buffalos, those offenses averaged 30.3 points with 407.2 yards of offense.

Kotelnicki could certainly be a candidate again at some point if he keeps up this resumé. That looks as though it’ll include at least one more season at Penn State, though, with this statement on his job status tonight.
