Former Penn State linebacker Bani Gbadyu dies after fight with cancer
Former Penn State defensive star Bani Gbadyu, 34, has died following a bout with pancreatic cancer, which he was diagnosed with last month. Gbadyu played for the Nittany Lions from 2006 through 2009.
“It’s with great sadness that we announce that Coach Bani Gbadyu lost his fight with pancreatic cancer. The Lebanon Football Family sends their condolences to his wife, Molly, and three children,” the Lebanon Cedars High School football team tweeted.

He had recently attended Penn State’s Sept. 10 victory over Ohio with his wife and children, and was all smiles watching his Nittany Lions secure the victory.
Plans for funeral and celebration of life services are likely to be announced shortly in the Lebanon, Pa. area.
