Graham (Wash.) Graham-Kapowsin offensive lineman Vega Ioane has committed to Penn State, he announced Wednesday on National Signing Day.

Ioane is the No. 536 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 42 interior offensive lineman and the No. 10 senior prospect in Washington.

On3’s own rankings are a bit higher on Ioane, ranking him as four-star prospect.

Ioane committed to the Washington under previous coach Jimmy Lake in June over a dozen other offers but decommitted after Lake was fired. Following Lake’s firing, Minnesota made a big push for Ioane, and he visited the Gophers in December.

Washington’s new coaching staff got him on campus for an official visit January 22, but Penn State offered him three weeks ago and got his final visit last weekend. He becomes the Nittany Lions’ 25th pledge in the 2022 class, with Penn State coming in at No. 7 in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.
