Jahan Dotson won’t be suiting up for the Penn State Nittany Lions again and has declared for the 2022 NFL Draft, according to his social media channels.

Here is the full statement from the star wide receiver:

“It’s been nothing but special to wear the Blue & White these past four years. I will be forever thankful for the love Happy Valley has shown me and the people it has brought into my life.

“To my teammates and coaches, I appreciate you for pushing me every single day and shaping me to be the man I am today. To my family, I love you guys more than you could ever imagine, this journey has been nothing short of amazing and I cannot wait to continue it with you by my side.

“With that being said, I have decided to forego the bowl game and declare for the 2022 NFL Draft. To the best University and fans in the country, words cannot express how much I appreciate you guys. We Are!”

Jahan Dotson closed out his 2021 campaign at Penn State with 91 receptions for 1,182 yards and 12 touchdowns.

In winter workouts earlier this year, Dotson made a statement by running a 4.33-second 40-yard dash. That marked the second-fastest time by a PSU wide receiver since the program began posting results in 2012, trailing only former teammate KJ Hamler’s 4.27.

Dotson followed that up with an outstanding regular season on the field. Despite inconsistent play by the Penn State quarterbacks, he became the only Power 5 receiver with at least 90 receptions (91), 1,180 yards (1,182) and 12 touchdown receptions (12) through 12 games. He also rushed for a touchdown and completed a pair of passes for 43 yards.

Where will Jahan Dotson land in the NFL?

ESPN’s Todd McShay currently has Dotson slated as a late first-round selection in April’s NFL Draft.
