Jameel Brown, Favour Aire to miss Penn State's game vs. Georgia Tech
Jameel Brown and Favour Aire will miss Penn State’s game against Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon, according to the Big Ten Injury Report.
“Penn State’s Jameel Brown (foot) and Favour Aire (hand) are both OUT for today’s game against Georgia Tech at MSG, per the Big Ten Injury Report,” CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein wrote on Twitter. “Brown averages 5.3 PPG.”
Penn State enters the game 5-5 on the season and broke a five-game losing streak with an 83-80 win over Ohio State last week. It certainly looked like Penn State was going to lose to Ohio State and hit a six-game losing streak. Mike Rhoades rallied the troops and the Nittany Lions got a much-needed victory.

“I think they’re learning to play together, play off of each other better,” Rhoades said after the win over Ohio State. “I think the disappointment and embarrassment. We had a couple meetings with specific guys and I had a team meeting Monday morning that was just certain ways we’re going to go about things, no matter what, to build this thing. I know how bad you guys want to win, but you got to go through all this stuff.”
Rhoades expanded upon his team found itself in that win.
“We had a couple hearts-to-hearts, and I said we’re gonna go to Maryland and we’re gonna play Ohio State this week, [and] if you guys don’t get right mentally and stick together, it’s just gonna be really, really hard,” Rhoades said. “And to their credit, we had good practices, they were in a good place. Even today when we got down when I challenged them at the 15-minute mark, they were present, and guys stepped up. I think some guys off the bench have really helped us, and making some more shots, that’s helping.”
