Many people are up in arms about the sign-stealing scandal that’s going on at Michigan. Even so, ahead of Penn State’s Top-10 matchup with the Wolverines this weekend, Nittany Lion DC Manny Diaz is poking fun at it in order to get a top-notch crowd into Beaver Stadium on Saturday.

Penn State released a video on Twitter showing their team making a call to action to get fans ready to be in University Park this weekend. However, toward the end of the clip, Diaz comes up to the camera and makes an assortment of signals to tell the blue and white to arrive early and be loud, specifically come third down, in a clear instigation of their next opponent and toward their present circumstances.

As if those who support Penn State needed any other reason to get after Michigan, this move from Diaz added a whole new layer to it.

Still, ahead of the crucial contest in the Big Ten, no one is exactly certain what to expect from it. On one hand, the Nittany Lions have found little to no success in this spot against the other premier teams in the conference. On the other hand, though, there’s no telling what kind of performance that the Wolverines could put up on the road in what’s clearly their toughest test yet with this story snowballing by the minute and with them potentially without Jim Harbaugh on the sidelines.

Again, no one, especially around the Big Ten, is a big fan or supporter of those in Ann Arbor at the moment. Diaz had no problem taking advantage of the opportunity, though, to flip the unethical offense on its head in order to rally the troops, both on and off the field, ahead of Saturday.

Bruce Feldman suspects Harbaugh won’t coach vs. Penn State

Tony Petitti is expected to hand down a punishment for Michigan and Jim Harbaugh shortly, under the conference’s sportsmanship policy. Among the punishments being considered is a suspension for Harbaugh.

One person who thinks that’s likely is Bruce Feldman. In fact, Feldman thinks that Harbaugh will not be able to coach against Penn State on Saturday.

“My gut is that Jim Harbaugh may not be coaching on Saturday,” Feldman said. “I don’t know that. We’re going to find out probably in the next 18 hours, I would say, which is a weird spot to be because it’s, like, you know how the football schedule works over the course of a week. I mean, it’s already Wednesday afternoon in the Big Ten. And the uncertainty of how this is going forward is still a big TBD.”

“If he’s not the head coach, it’s a tough place to play and it’s a really talented opponent. If he’s not there? They did have three games where he wasn’t there. They were cupcake games relative to this.”
