4-star EDGE Mylachi Williams commits to Penn State
Philadelphia (Pa.) Monsignor Bonner four-star EDGE Mylachi Williams announced that he has committed to the Penn State Nittany Lions.
He chose Penn State over Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder is the No. 350 overall prospect and No. 23 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 7 player in Pennsylvania.
On3 rates Williams higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 205 overall prospect, No. 16 EDGE in the country and No. 3 player in Pennsylvania.
Penn State was the first of three schools to host Williams in June for an official visit. He was on campus June 9 before taking trips to Pittsburgh (June 9) and Syracuse (June 23).
“It was just a good experience getting to hang around the guys and just to see the smiles on everyone’s face,” Williams told On3 following his official visit to Happy Valley. “[Penn State] is a top choice because it’s Penn State.”
Mylachi Williams currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $38K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
