Wichita Falls (Texas) Hirschi running back A’Marion Peterson named his top five schools in late February, but that hasn’t stopped other teams from trying to enter the picture. The latest is Penn State, which extended him an offer on Tuesday night.

Peterson is the No. 325 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 23 running back and the No. 53 junior in the state of Texas.

On3 is significantly higher on him than the rest of the recruiting industry, though, according to the Industry Comparison. In the most recent On300 rankings, Peterson was tabbed as the country’s No. 188 prospect, No. 9 running back and No. 31 player in Texas.

Among Peterson’s top schools in February were USC, Baylor, Cincinnati, Missouri and Texas Tech. According to Inside Texas, the list represented programs showing the most interest then and not his final five schools. And it’s one that could add schools as things progress.
