It was a consistent push from James Franklin and the PSU staff for Tatsch. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder took multiple game visits to Happy Valley and also returned for a Junior Day trip on Jan. 20. Other schools had him on campus over the course of the 2023 season, but the Nittany Lions got out in front and have now landed the blue-chipper.
“(Franklin) made it clear that I’m important to them,” Tatsch told BWI in December. “He always wanted to be completely honest and answer all questions we had. But he was great. He was talking about if I did commit to them, he wants me to be fully committed and not talking to other coaches, and if I do that, they’re fully committed to me.”
