4-star CB Jahmir Joseph commits to Penn State
Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph Regional four-star cornerback Jahmir Joseph has committed to Penn State.
He chose the Nittany Lions over Stanford, Notre Dame, South Carolina and Georgia.
Joseph is the No. 182 overall prospect and No. 22 corner in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 4 player in New Jersey.

The 6-foot, 185-pound defensive back was in Happy Valley over the weekend for his official visit. Head coach James Franklin, CBs coach Terry Smith and the PSU staff prioritized the Garden State product and have now added a seventh four-star recruit to the fold this cycle.
PSU pushing for top-10 recruiting class
With the addition of Joseph, Penn State now has 15 commits in its 2025 class — which ranks No. 12 in the nation and No. 4 in the Big Ten, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star cornerback Daryus Dixson became the highest-ranked commit in the class when he announced his decision earlier this month on June 10. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive back is the No. 135 overall prospect and No. 14 corner in the nation.

“It is about family there,” Dixson told On3. “That was big, and the relationships are genuine, so that had an impact on my decision. Then it was about player development. That is big for me, too. I trust in the coaches and believe they can get me to where I want to be.”
On April 11, Elba (Ala.) four-star running back Alvin Henderson joined the class. The No. 8 RB in the nation chose the Nittany Lions over Auburn in a major recruiting win for Franklin and Co.
The linebacker room is set to be stacked for PSU. Three of the seven highest-ranked commits in the fold for PSU are LBs. Jersey City (N.J.) Henry Snyder four-star DJ McClary is flanked by Latrobe (Pa.) Greater four-star Alex Tatsch and Pittsburgh Imani Christian four-star Dayshaun Burnett. Tatsch is a major outlier in the On300, checking in at No. 74 overall compared to his No. 193 On3 Industry Ranking.
