Caziah Holmes issues statement after entering transfer portal
Following reports that he entered the transfer portal Monday, Penn State running back Caziah Holmes issued a statement regarding his decision via social media.
“My time at Penn State has been a great time with all the ups and downs. So grateful for all the lifelong relationships I’ve made during my time there,” Holmes wrote. “With that being said I’m officially in the transfer portal and excited to see what’s next in my future.”
Following multiple injuries to multiple running backs last season he was forced into a more extended role with 56 carries totaling 254 yards rushing.
Holmes was a four-star recruit coming out of high school in Florida, per the On3 Consensus. He was recruited and offered by the likes of Ohio State, Florida and Miami, among others, meaning he’ll have no shortage of offers coming his way once teams begin reaching out.

Freshmen running backs Nick Singleton, Kaytron Allen creating buzz at Penn State
The Penn State Nittany Lions are excited about two freshman running backs who have been playing well during Fall camp. Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen have only been on campus for a brief period of time, but they’re both already turning heads.
Penn State head coach James Franklin spoke about the pair with members of the media.
“They’ve been really good, really both of them,” James Franklin said. “Obviously, there’s been lots of conversations about Nick Singleton. But, him and Kaytron, there’s a buzz within our program about those two guys and what they’re doing.”
