Penn State offers 2023 On3 Top 100 recruit safety Elliot Washington II
Penn State offered Venice (Fla.) High four-star safety Elliot Washington II on Monday morning.
Washington is the No. 78 overall recruit in the 2023 On3 Top 100 and the eighth-best recruit in the 2023 cycle.
Through the first four games of Venice (Fla.) High’s season, Washington has 22 total tackles and two pass breakups.
Washington already released a top-10 list
Elliot Washington released a top-10 list on Aug. 8 of Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oklahoma and South Carolina.
Since releasing the list, he has also received an offer from Ole Miss.
On3’s Nikki Chavanelle talked with Washington after he released his list.
“These were the schools that I love the most, the schools showing me a lot of attention,” Washington told Chavanelle. “I went on campus to all of them, except Indiana. I really enjoyed the coaches, the players, the brotherhood. Seeing how they interact with me.”
Washington also caught up with Lettermen Row in August, saying that his visit to Columbus in June left a major impression on him.

“Ohio State is high on my list of 10,” Elliot Washington told Lettermen Row. “There are some other elite programs on the list, so it’s going to be a tough decision.”
Elliot Washington is the son of Alabama basketball legend
Elliot Washington Sr. played two seasons at Alabama in the early 1990s. He wasn’t a stat stuffer but was the starting point guard on the 1991-1992 Crimson Tide team that made the second round of NCAA Tournament.
He then started an impressive career as a basketball coach. Washington was the head coach of Bradenton (Fla.) Southeast from for 13 years and JuCo State College of Florida for five years.
Since 2018, Washington has been the head coach of IMG Academy’s boys basketball team.
