Penn State trending for 4-star WR Nick Marsh
Since his decommitment from Michigan State in early March, River Rouge (Mich.) four-star wide receiver Nick Marsh has seen plenty of interest from other Big Ten programs.
Michigan State remains involved but another Big Ten program has emerged as the heavy favorite for Marsh.
Following an expert prediction from On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons, Penn State sits with a 79.4% chance to land a commitment from Marsh. Simmons put in his prediction with a confidence level of 60%.
“When I went up on the unofficial, it really stood out to me how Penn State could be a big benefit for me,” Marsh recently told Simmons. “The environment, the stadium, everything surrounding Penn State seems like a place I could thrive at. As far as a decision, I want to just take my time. But I know they’re bringing in some dogs, so their recruitment will also play a part for me.
… Penn State, I could be developed as a pretty good receiver. I can be developed at both places. But there’s a little something different that stands out about Penn State with guys like Allen Robinson, who was a pretty big-time receiver there.”

The No. 86 overall prospect and No. 15 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, Marshall also told Simmons that he plans to commit on July 7.
“It’s getting closer by the day,” Marsh said. “There’s a little pressure but I’m just taking the time slowly, enjoying every bit of it and just ready to get that stress released off of me so I can have a great senior season and perform at my highest level.”
