Washington (D.C.) St. Frances Academy defensive lineman Isaiah Neal took an official visit this weekend to Pittsburgh, and he’ll leave as the newest member of the Panthers’ 2023 class.

Neal announced Saturday evening that he has committed to Pitt over offers from NC State, Rutgers, Ole Miss, West Virginia and a handful of others.

The 6-foot-2, 260-pounder is the No. 510 overall prospect in the 2023 cycle,  according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 60 defensive lineman and the No. 9 prospect in Maryland.

On3 is a bit higher on him than the other major recruiting services though, according to the Industry Comparison. In the most recent On3 rankings, he was tabbed as the country’s No. 46 defensive lineman and No. 8 player in Maryland.

Isaiah Neal had previously scheduled official visits to NC State (June 10) and Rutgers (June 20), but with his commitment to Pitt it remains to be seen if he will still take those. His pledge is the second the Panthers have received after a massive visit weekend. Three-star cornerback Shadarian Harrison committed on Friday night.
