4-star SG Amari Evans sets official visit to Pitt
Amari Evans, a four-star shooting guard in the 2025 class, tells On3 he’s scheduled an official visit to Pitt for June 23-25. This will mark his first official visit.
The 6-foot-5 rising senior is a Pittsburgh native but plays his high school ball at Overtime Elite in Atlanta.
Evans is ranked as the No. 71 overall player in the country, according to On3’s Player Rankings. He’s also the No. 15 shooting guard and the No. 8 player in Georgia.

This will not be Evans’ first time visiting Jeff Capel and the Panthers as he’s unofficially visited the school in the past. Tennessee and Oklahoma State have also hosted him for unofficial visits.
Evans is currently averaging 10.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game playing with New Heights Lightning on the EYBL Circuit. Earlier this year, Evans took home Overtime Elite Defensive Player of the Year honors.
On3’s Jamie Shaw had this to say about Evans after watching him at OTE earlier this year:
Amari Evans is a low-maintenance high-floor prospect. He does not turn the ball over, knocks down threes to space the floor, and he defends at the point of attack. He wasn’t flashy, but very effective with 8 rebounds,5 assists, and 3 steals.
