Coveted 2023 RB TJ Harvison finds home at Pittsburgh
Thursday through Sunday was a life-changing group of days for Bowdon (Ga.) 2023 running back TJ Harvison. Harvison ran for 216 yards and a touchdown to help lead Bowdon to a state championship.
He got on a plane on Friday morning and headed to Pittsburgh for his official visit. He fell in love in Pittsburgh and on Tuesday, Harvison has announce his commitment to the Panthers.
“It’s just a great experience,” Harvison told On3. “I just feel like everything is going in the right direction. There are just wins after wins after wins coming right now. The state championship was great. Finding a home, was even better. I’m glad to be continuing my career in football and academics with a great program with great coaches.”
Harvison was sold on his relationship with Pittsburgh’s running back coach Andre Powell as well as the others on staff.
“The relationships I had with the coaches no doubt (won me over),” Harvison said. “The position coach, coach (Andre) Powell and the recruiting coach and not only that the academics are big. That’s what put them over everyone else.”
