Former Iowa State basketball star Nojus Indrusaitis committed to Pitt out of the transfer portal. ESPN’s Jonathan Givony reported the move.

Indrusaitis played just one season with the Cyclones before opting to hit the portal. He finished the season playing just 15 games, averaging 2.1 points per game.

But, he’s an international star as Givony pointed out. During the FIBA U18 Eurobasket for Lithuania last summer, Indrusaitis averaged 20.1 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game and three assists per game.

As a member of the Class of 2024, Indrusaitis was a four-star recruit out of Lemont (Ill.) Brewster Academy (N.H.), according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 1 overall prospect in the state, the No. 17 shooting guard in the class and the No. 68 overall prospect in the class.

Nojus Indrusaitis commits to Pitt

Indrusaitis fills a guard role for Pitt after they lost a player to the portal. PG Jaland Lowe committed to Kentucky Sunday.

The 6’2 guard from Missouri City (Tex.) led the team in scoring as a sophomore, averaging 16.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 5.5 assists across 32 games. That built off a strong freshman campaign and earned him All-ACC honors in 2024-25.

But the Panthers struggled to a 17-15 record and 8-12 mark in ACC play, missing the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time in head coach Jeff Capel’s seven seasons. Lowe hit the portal with two years of eligibility remaining and was expected to be one of the top commodities on the market.

As a high schooler, he signed with the Panthers in 2023 over SMU, Memphis, Oklahoma State and dozens of other offers. Lowe ranked as the No. 88 prospect and No. 19 point guard nationally in the the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
