Columbus (Ohio) Thomas Worthington three-star defensive lineman Francis Brewu has committed to the Pittsburgh Panthers. He announced the news on Twitter.

Brewu is the No. 858 overall prospect and No. 82 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 36 player in Ohio.

Brewu isn’t ranked in the 2024 On300, but On3 ranks him as the No. 63 defensive lineman and No. 36 player in Ohio.

In January Brewu took a visit to Cincinnati on the 22nd and a week later he took his visit to Pittsburgh on the 28th.

Brewu is the fifth commitment in Pittsburgh’s 2024 recruiting class. That class currently ranks as the No. 28 class in the country and No. 6 class in the ACC.
