3-star ATH Israel Polk commits to Pittsburgh
Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco three-star athlete Israel Polk has committed to Pittsburgh. He chose the Panthers after decommitting from Colorado State on Dec. 14.
Polk is the No. 1,185 overall prospect and No. 63 athlete in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 103 player in California.
On3 rates Polk higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2023 On300, Polk is the No. 55 athlete in the country.
Following Polk’s decision, the Panthers’ 2023 recruiting class contains 17 players. It ranks No. 52 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 11 in the ACC.

Head coach Pat Narduzzi and his staff now have pledges from two athletes. They are Polk and Saint Petersburg (Fla.) Lakewood three-star Montravius Lloyd. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh’s highest-ranked commit is Hampton (Va.) Phoebus four-star linebacker Jordan Bass, the No. 277 overall prospect in the 2023 On300.
Polk has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.1K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
