Oregon State’s Damarco Minor has been down to three schools to consider transferring to in the portal coming out of last week. He has now since committed to one of them to start this week.

Minor has committed to transfer to Pittsburgh, On3’s Joe Tipton has confirmed. That comes after his representation shared he was down to Pitt as well as Florida State and Virginia Tech elsewhere in the ACC.

Minor has played four seasons in his collegiate career. He’s coming off his lone year at Oregon State after a pair at SIU Edwardsville and one at South Suburban College (Illinois), a Division II school at the JUCO level.

Over three seasons in Division I, Minor, a full-time starter with the Cougars and Beavers, has averaged 13.2 points (40.5% FG, 29.8% 3PT), 6.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. That includes posting 9.8 points (39.7% FG, 28.2% 3PT), 5.1 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.2 turnovers per game this season as the leader in assists and second-leader in rebounds and steals for Oregon State.

Minor didn’t receive any honors this past year in Corvallis. However, he is formerly First Team All-OVC at SIUE and was NJCAA Division II National Player of the Year and First Team NJCAA Division II All-American at South Suburban in leading them to an undefeated national title.

With that, Minor is rated well in the latest update to On3’s Industry Ranking of 2025’s Top Transfer Portal Players. He is at No. 343 overall and is the No. 58 PG in the portal.

Minor was the lowest-rated, though, of the five transfers so far this offseason from Oregon State. The two highest-rated for the Beavers have since made commitments with Michael Rataj (Baylor) and Nate Kingz (Syracuse). Parsa Fallah and Liutauras Lelevicius remain uncommitted while the program has yet to add anyone in the portal.

Minor is now the third commitment during this portal cycle for Pittsburgh. They’ve also earned commitments over the past ten days from Dishon Jackson (No. 128, No. 14 C) and Nojus Indrusaitis (No. 249, No. 66 SG), both of whom are former players for the Iowa State Cyclones. That’s after Pitt has lost six players to transfers this offseason with only one, their top-rated departure, having committed elsewhere in Jaland Lowe (Kentucky).
