Pitt, Jeff Capel land commitment from 4-star Jaland Lowe

Missouri City (Texas) Fort Bend Marshall four-star recruit Jaland Lowe tells On3 he has committed to Pittsburgh.
Lowe, a 6-foot-1 class of 2023 point guard, ultimately chose the Panthers over Memphis and SMU. He also received offers from Wichita State, George Mason, Murray State, Washington State, and others.
The senior floor general is Pitt’s third commitment to the class. He joins three star’s Carlton Carrington and Marlon Barnes Jr.
Lowe is the No. 103 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 17 point guard and the No. 7 player in the state of Texas.

Lowe on his commitment to Pitt
“I ultimately chose Pitt because of the culture they have, the program they’re building, my relationship with the coaching staff, and the opportunity I’m going to have when I get there,” Lowe said to On3.
What type of player is Pitt getting in Jaland Lowe?
“A hard-nosed point guard,” he says. “A true point guard that can score, help his teammates look good, and win. That’s really what I’m trying to do.”
Lowe has a message for Pitt fans.
“I’m ready! I’m ready to get up there, compete, and have fun.”
