Late rising Indianapolis Pike safety Joseph Jefferson II committed Sunday to Purdue after spending the weekend on campus.

His visit was an official one. He was also considering Utah.

He is the 19th commit in the Purdue recruiting class, which ranks No. 44 in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking.

Fort Branch (Ind.) Gibson Southern four-star quarterback Brady Allen is top recruit in the class. Allen is the No. 144 overall recruit and No. 9 quarterback in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett three-star safety Jordan Buchanan is the only other defensive back commit in the class.
