On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Purdue trending for Marcos Davila

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has Purdue trending for Midland (Fla.) Lee four-star quarterback Marcos Davila after recent industry expert projections.

According to the recent updates, the Boilermakers now hold a commanding 94.5% chance to land a commitment from Davila.

Davila is the No. 363 overall prospect and No. 23 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 59 player in Texas.

On3 ranks Davila higher than the other major recruiting outlets according to the Industry Comparison. He’s ranked as the No. 245 overall prospect, the No. 14 quarterback and No. 47 player in Texas.

A former TCU commitment, Davila decommitted from the Horned Frogs on Feb. 22. Purdue was the first school Davila visited after the decommitment as he went up to West Lafayette on March 4-5.

“I’ve stayed in contact with Coach Harrell and we’re pretty tight,” Davila told On3 before the visit. “Me, Graham, (Cory) Patterson, (Seth) Doege — they’re my guys. They’ve really supported me through everything. They’ve been there for me since they were at West Virginia. I’m close with them and ready to get up there and see what the place is like.”

Purdue currently has two three-star commitments in its 2024 recruiting class. The Boilermakers have the No. 52 class in the country and No. 14 class in the Big Ten.
