Purdue offers 2024 On3 top-20 CB Aaron Scott

Springfield (Ohio) four-star cornerback Aaron Scott received an offer from Purdue on Thursday. He announced the news over social media.

Scott is the No. 90 overall prospect and No. 7 cornerback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Ohio. 

On3 rates Scott higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 19 overall prospect, No. 3 cornerback and No. 1 player in Ohio.

The 5-foot-11.5, 165-pound defensive back holds 28 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Ohio State has a commanding lead for his commitment at 98.2%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. 

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

The Boilermakers have no commitments in their 2024 recruiting class. Meanwhile, Purdue’s 2023 class contains 13 pledges and ranks No. 67 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings, as well as No. 13 in the Big Ten.

Scott has an On3 NIL Valuation of $52K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
