4-star Keanu Dawes commits to Rice

Houston (Texas) Stratford four-star recruit Keanu Dawes tells On3 he’s committed to Rice.
Dawes, a 6-foot-8 class of 2023 power forward, also received offers from Oklahoma State, Texas, Utah, Texas A&M, BYU, and others.
He is the first addition to Rice’s 2023 recruiting class.
Dawes is the No. 112 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 22 power forward and the No. 9 player in the state of Texas.
Dawes on his commitment to Rice
“I chose Rice because I feel like they are the ones who can help develop me and get me to the NBA more than anyone else; especially by coming in and playing big minutes,” Dawes said to On3.

What type of player is Rice getting in Keanu Dawes?
