FAU transfer RB CJ Campbell signs with Rutgers
Transfer RB CJ Campbell has signed with Rutgers, sources tell On3.
This comes after Campbell was reportedly involved with teams like Michigan among others in his recruitment from the portal this week.
Campbell had previously spent the four years of his college career in the state of Florida. He started out with three seasons at Florida State before spending this past one at Florida Atlantic. After redshirting as a scout team player as a freshman, Campbell has appeared in 28 games over the past three seasons with the Seminoles and Owls, including being the starting back this past season at FAU.
In total, Campbell has 190 carries for 1,025 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Most of that came this fall, though, at Florida Atlantic. Campbell rushed for 844 yards and 11 scores on 165 carries. He also caught 40 passes for 466 yards and three more touchdowns to give him 14 total in 2024.
Campbell, a native of Panama City, Florida played high school football at Bay in the 2021 cycle.
