Rutgers has extended an offer to one of the top players from Ohio, Dayton (Ohio) Northmont linebacker Nigel Glover.

He also received an offer from Liberty.

Glover is the No. 465 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

However, On3 rates him significantly higher than the rest of the industry. Glover is the No. 136 prospect in the 2023 cycle, which makes him the eighth-best linebacker and second-best player from Ohio.

The only player ranked ahead of him from Ohio is Findlay (Ohio) four-star interior offensive lineman and Ohio State commit Luke Montgomery.

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power explained why On3 likes Glover’s talent and believes in his ability.

“Nigel Glover plays safety at Dayton (Ohio) Northmont, but looks like a future linebacker,” Power said. “He shows safety athleticism and ability in space at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds. Glover is a physical downhill defender with considerable pop on contact. He also shows impressive burst and effort level as a pursuit defender. Glover has offers from the likes of West Virginia, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Minnesota, Duke, Pitt and Washington. We would not be surprised to see his offer list continue to grow this spring.”

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $13.6k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

The Scarlet Knights have one commit in their 2023 class in Sewell (N.J.) Washington Township three-star interior offensive lineman John Stone.
