Rutgers Football: 3-star LB Sam Pilof commits to the Scarlet Knights
Middleton (Wis.) three-star linebacker Sam Pilof has announced his commitment to Rutgers. He chose the Badgers over Penn State and Wisconsin.
Pilof’s commitment comes on the same day he was on campus for his first visit.
Pilof is the No. 1,004 overall prospect and No. 113 linebacker in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 9 player in Wisconsin.
With Pilof’s commitment, the Scarlet Knights now have four commitments in their 2024 class. Rutgers’ class ranks as the No. 36 class in the country and the No. 10 class in the Big Ten.

Pilof has an On3 NIL Valuation of $23K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
