2024 QB Danny O'Neil commits to San Diego State
Indianpolis Cathedral three-star quarterback Danny O’Neil has committed to San Diego State.
He chose the Aztecs following his decommitment from Colorado on Nov. 27. New SDSU head coach Sean Lewis was Colorado’s offensive coordinator for the 2023 season.
O’Neil is the No. 630 overall prospect and No. 41 signal-caller in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 8 player in Indiana.
Earlier this summer, O’Neil participated in the 2023 Elite 11 Finals in California. On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power had this to say about the 6-foot-0.5, 180-pounder at the conclusion of the event:

“Danny O’Neil landed in On3’s Top Performers after a very accurate pro day session on Day 2. O’Neil is decisive in working the short areas of the field. He lacked juice in his arm compared to most of the other finalists, but made some noise during his pro day.”
O’Neil does not currently have an On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
