Arkansas OL transfer Paris Patterson is set to commit to SMU
Former Arkansas Razorbacks offensive lineman Paris Patterson has found his next college football home. According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Patterson is set to commit to play in the ACC with the SMU Mustangs, one of the conference’s newest acquisitions.
As a recruit, Patterson was a three-star prospect out of East Saint Louis at East Saint Louis High School. He ranked as the No. 582 overall player and No. 55 inside offensive lineman in the 2023 cycle with a rating of 87.9, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Once Patterson makes his expected commitment to the Mustangs, he would be opting to go with SMU over Marshall and the Colorado Buffaloes. Shortly after entering the transfer portal, On3’s predictions gave the redshirt freshman a plus-93 percent chance of landing in Boulder, with Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders.
Patterson may not be the only former Razorback on his way to SMU. It has also been reported that fellow Arkansas lineman Andrew Chamblee is set to join him at SMU.

Milliner-Jones spent just one season with the Buffaloes, playing in 12 contests while starting one. He recorded 25 tackles, including 19 solo stops, with three pass breakups.
Some of Milliner-Jones’ best work came late in the season as he continued to develop. He turned in 19 tackles in the final five games of the season, after recording just six in the first seven games.
That kind of upside, displayed against quality Pac-12 competition, will have SMU excited about what he can bring to the table.
As a recruit, Jaden Milliner-Jones was not the highest-rated prospect. He checked in as the No. 1,455 overall recruit in the 2023 recruiting class, a three-star prospect, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
