Texas A&M transfer CB Deuce Harmon commits to SMU
Texas A&M transfer cornerback Deuce Harmon has committed to SMU, he announced via social media. He entered the transfer portal Dec. 12.
Harmon spent three years at Texas A&M, totaling 46 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and two interceptions during that time. This past season, he had 18 tackles and a pick as the Aggies returned to a bowl game.
Harmon told On3’s Hayes Fawcett about his intention to enter the portal Dec. 8.
“In the past 3 years of my life Texas A&M University has taught me so much on and off the field, I went through so many tough challenges that I didn’t know I could get through,” Harmon told On3. “Thank you to the Texas A&M coaches and the rest of the staff for helping and pushing me through that time of my life. I will carry that experience with me forever.
“After great prayers and long conversations with my family, I have decided to enter my name into the transfer portal with 2 years of eligibility left. Thank you Texas A&M University.”
Deuce Harmon played high school football at Guyer (TX) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 163 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
