After entering the NCAA transfer portal, former Oregon wide receiver Ashton Cozart has committed to SMU.

Cozart hit the portal after spending just one season with the Ducks, recording no statistics in his true freshman season. As a high school recruit, Cozart flipped his commitment from Oklahoma to Oregon but now returns to his home state of Texas to play for the SMU Mustangs.

Cozart played high school football at Flower Mound (TX) Marcus, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 215 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
