Miami defensive line transfer Jahfari Harvey commits to SMU
Miami defensive lineman Jahfari Harvey has committed to SMU, he announced.
Harvey left Miami after five seasons, with varying impact. He totaled 23 tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss, 1.0 sacks and a pass defended during the 2023 season.
The 6-foot-4, 252-pound lineman appeared in 50 career games for the Hurricanes, with starts in 18 of them.
He tallied 99 tackles, 22.0 tackles for a loss, 10.5 sacks, a forced fumble, an interception, a defensive touchdown and four passes defended in his five seasons in Coral Gables, Fla.
Prior to enrolling at Miami, Jahfari Harvey was a sought-after recruit, a four-star prospect and the No. 203 overall player in the 2019 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
He also checked in as the No. 14 EDGE prospect and the No. 29 overall player in the state of Florida, hailing from Fort Pierce (FL) Vero Beach.
