4-star RB Dontavius Braswell commits to South Carolina
Sandersville (Ga.) Washington County four-star running back Dontavius Braswell has committed to South Carolina.
He chose the Gamecocks over his announced final four of Alabama, Boston College, Nebraska and Oregon.
The On3 Consensus — a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies — has Braswell as the No. 290 overall recruit in the country.
He is ranked higher in the 2023 On300 ranking, where he slots in as the No. 223 prospect and No. 12 running back.

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power watched Braswell at the UA Next Camp Series event in Atlanta and liked what he saw.
“Dontavius Braswell and Jeremiah Cobb were two more running backs who made a strong case as top performers,” Power said. “Braswell may have been the fastest back on hand. His 10.75 speed in the 100 meters showed up in the camp context on Sunday. The Sandersville (Ga.) Washington County product caught the ball well in 1-on-1’s, as well.”
Braswell currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.1k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
