Shane Beamer has drowned South Carolina football in excitement. His social media bravado and on-field hijinks has had everyone talking about the new SC coach for non-football reasons all summer. But now that the season it here, it’s time to get serious about the team. And there’s reason to get excitement there, too.

Particularly on offense, where the Gamecocks welcome an elite QB transfer and return several key contributors from 2021. One of which is wide receiver Dakereon Joyner, a senior set to have his career year this fall.

He was recently asked about the offense as a whole at a press conference. And answered with full confidence in his unit and what they’re capable of.

“Oh yeah, I think it’s scary to think about what we can do in year two under Coach Beamer. I always say it, but just being around guys every single day, being around our coaches. Just seeing what we can do, what we do on a daily day basis . We got to continue to focus on ourselves and just let the rest take care of itself. Because we’ve got a lot of weapons, a lot of stability and it’s very interesting to see what his offense can do here too.

Joyner is ready to burst through the tunnel and play right now he’s so fired up for year two of the Beamer offense.

Following up those comments, Joyner answered questions about the group of playmakers he’s apart of on the offense. To which he praised how dangerous this group can be this season.

“But, yeah we try to scratch the field utilize our weapons as much as possible. Just get a chance to get the ball in the perimeter and you know get the ball to our playmakers and let us make plays, you know what I’m saying? We just try to utilize our talent as much as possible.”

Full steam ahead on the South Carolina hype train, especially on the offensive end. Dakereon Joyner is predicting a breakout season from the passing game for the Gamecocks.
