Four-star cornerback Braydon Lee of Springdale (MD) Charles Herbert Flowers announced his commitment to South Carolina Wednesday afternoon.

The 6-foot-1, 164 pounder chose the Gamecocks over Ohio State, Maryland, and others.

Lee on why he chose South Carolina

“From Day 1 I already felt the love from Gamecock Nation. After my sophomore season I got offered by SC In December and from that moment on they’ve been there the whole ride. The consistency I get from the fan base and coaching staff is just unmatched. I know I’m loved down there and they do a great job making sure I know that. South Carolina “feeling” like home is an understatement, it is home, always been home!”

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for Braydon Lee

“I love the ENTIRE staff, from the strength and conditioning coach (Coach Day), to all the student managers. They’ve shown me so much love and take time out of their schedules to make sure I’m doing alright. A lot of schools preach about being family oriented but SC truly lives by that. As far as who I’m closest to on the staff, it would have to be Coach Gray, Coach Sterling, and Coach Beamer.”

The Maryland defensive back joins coach Beamer and the Gamecocks’ No. 6 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by Josiah Thompson, Kam Pringle, and others.
