LOOK: South Carolina releases Marvel-themed poster on transfer portal wins

South Carolina’s social media team had some fun on Wednesday morning, releasing a special edition movie poster which gave a nod to Marvel and showed off Shane Beamer’s impressive transfer portal haul. According to the post, the transfer portal has turned into the “Multiverse of Madness.

After one season at South Carolina, which saw its fair share of ups and downs, Shane Beamer dipped into the transfer portal for a quick rebuild. What he came back with shocked many and placed South Carolina among the biggest winners in this new world of player movement.

As the movie poster reads, the Gamecocks team now features new stars across the field. Former Oklahoma quarterback and 2021 preseason Heisman Trophy favorite Spencer Rattler gets a change of scenery with some familiar faces, including tight end Austin Stogner. Former Wake Forest running back Christian Beal-Smith also joins the offense with James Madison transfer wide receiver Antwane Wells.

With seven total transfer commitments so far, South Carolina also brings in three defensive reinforcements. Former Georgia defensive back Lovasea Carroll makes the SEC East swap just after winning a national championship and NC State edge rusher Terrell Dawkins joins alongside Central Michigan cornerback Devonni Reed for the 2022 season.
