South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer is expected to a huge splash in the NCAA transfer portal, by adding ArkasnasRaheim “Rocket” Sanders to the roster, On3’s Pete Nakos has confirmed. Sanders is already viewed as one of the best running backs in the country and will be heading to Columbia for his potential final season of college football.

Injuries were a problem for Sanders this past season, having him appear in just six games. He rushed for 209 yards and two touchdowns on just 62 carries. Looking at Sanders’ career stats are more impressive though, going for 2,230 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Sanders played high school football at Rockledge (FL) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 315 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Arkansas and South Carolina do not play each other in the 2024 season, at least for the time being. There is always the possibility of an SEC Championship showdown in Atlanta. Otherwise, there will not be a reunion between Sanders and his former club.
