South Carolina linebacker Grayson Howard enters NCAA Transfer Portal

The South Carolina Gamecocks last one of their top recruits from 2023. On3 has been informed that linebacker Grayson Howard has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.

As a true freshman, Howard saw the field frequently at South Carolina. The Jacksonville, FL, native got the opportunity to play in 11 of the Gamecocks 13 games in 2023. And in those 11 games, he recorded 19 total tackles, 10 solo, one tackle for a loss, and forced one fumble.

Howard played high school football at Andrew Jackson High in Jacksonville, FL, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 186 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Howard also was the No. 40 ranked recruit to come out of Florida and the No. 20 ranked linebacker in his class.
