South Carolina RB Mario Anderson enters the NCAA Transfer Portal

South Carolina Gamecocks running back Mario Anderson has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Mario Anderson only spent one season with the Gamecocks. However, he was effective, carrying the football 143 times for 707 yards and three touchdowns. Additionally, he caught 22 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown, as well.

Prior to his time with the Gamecocks, Anderson was a member of the Division II Newberry Wolves, based out of Newberry, South Carolina.

It remains to be seen where Mario Anderson takes his talents, but he showed in 2023 that he could hack it at the highest level of college football. Some team is going to be lucky to have him in their backfield next season.
