South Carolina RB Kamron Sandlin enters NCAA Transfer Portal
Another South Carolina Gamecocks player is on the move. On Tuesday, On3 learned that running back Kamron Sandlin has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
The 2023 recruit is versatile and can line up all over the field. Originally in high school, Sandlin played quarterback, taking his team to the third round of the 4A playoffs and finishing the year with an 11-1 record. However, as a recruit, Sandlin was listed as a tight end. And upon entering the South Carolina program in the fall, he was transitioned to running back. This season, Sandlin did not see the field as he red-shirted for his freshman year, giving him four years of eligibility remaining. That, along with his versatility, could make the offensive specialist a highly sought-after player in the transfer portal.
Sandlin played high school football at Anniston Sch High in Anniston, AL, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 970 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
