South Carolina rises to No. 17 in On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings
Much like they did at the end of the 2023 cycle landing five-star athlete Nyckoles Harbor, Shane Beamer and Gamecocks picked up another huge win on the recruiting trail.
Washington (D.C.) Friendship Collegiate Academy Five-Star Plus+ EDGE Dylan Stewart announced his pledge to the Gamecocks Tuesday morning choosing them over Georgia, Maryland, Miami and Ohio State.
That pledge elevated the Gamecocks closer to the top-15 nationally as well. Following Stewart’s commitment, South Carolina rose to No. 17 nationally in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking. The Gamecocks’ class, which also ranks No. 9 in the SEC, rose three spots from No. 20.
“What led me to commit to them is the family vibe and they really care about you,” Stewart told Hayes Fawcett. “Two, it’s the SEC. Three, I know I’m going to get developed because my coaches have done it at all levels and know what it takes. I click with the guys committed in the 2024 class and I’m very comfortable there. It’s like a second home to me.”
Stewart is the No. 10 overall prospect and No. 2 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in D.C.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $321K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Stewart is the gem in South Carolina’s class so far
Stewart’s pledge was a massive step forward for the Gamecocks as they look to build a top 15 class and potentially make their way into the top 10.
He comes one of three top 100 players currently committed to the Gamecocks. Their other two are Dillon (S.C.) offensive tackle Josiah Thompson and Dorchester (S.C.) Woodland offensive tackle Kam Pringle.
Stewart is also the second EDGE to commit to the Gamecocks this cycle. Marietta (Ga.) Walton four-star EDGE Wendell Gregory committed to the Gamecocks in January.
