Baxter (Ky.) Harlan County 2024 three-star shooting guard Trent Noah has committed to South Carolina.

The 6-foot-6, 200-pound senior chose the Gamecocks over a final group of Dayton, Saint Louis, Stanford, Richmond, Western Kentucky, Butler, and Seton Hall.

“There were many aspects of South Carolina’s program that caused me to ultimately decide to be a Gamecock,” Noah said to On3. “I really like the way that Coach Paris’ teaches, the style he plays, and I love the vision they have for me. Also, playing in the SEC was a draw. My grandfather played in the SEC so I know how prestigious the conference is.”

In his own words, what type of player is South Carolina getting in Noah?

“I feel like I am a versatile player that has a high IQ. I believe my shooting and my IQ are my best attributes. I’ll do whatever I’m asked to help put us in the best position to win.”

He has a message to South Carolina fans.

“I am really excited to be a Gamecock and look forward to investing in the community and getting to know Columbia even better. The basketball program is trending upward and I feel honored to be able to wear a South Carolina jersey. I promise to do everything possible to contribute to the team in positive ways!”

According to On3’s Top-150 player rankings, Noah is the No. 146 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle. He’s also the No. 27 shooting guard and the No. 2 player from the state of Kentucky.

Noah Scouting Report

“Trent Noah had a very good summer on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit. It was the consistency throughout that really stood out. For starters, the jump shot. He is a weapon off the catch, with deep range and a quick and confident release. Noah has good footwork of movement, and maintains good balance throughout. He is a good positional rebounder in his area, not afraid to mix it up. While the foot speed and explosive athleticism will be questioned, he understands team defense and he has good instincts. Noah is a quick processor, able to dissect plays in real time and deliver on target and on time. He has a mature and confident game with a lot of toughness.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
