Wake Forest OL transfer Nick Sharpe signs with South Carolina
Wake Forest offensive lineman transfer Nick Sharpe has signed with South Carolina, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. He spent four years with the Demon Deacons before entering the transfer portal.
Sharpe appeared in all 12 games as a redshirt junior in 2024. He played on both the offensive line and on special teams, totaling 718 snaps between the two sides of the ball. As he heads to South Carolina, he will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Sharpe played high school football at Gastonia (N.C.) Hunter Huss, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1,408 overall player from the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Nick Sharpe is the second transfer portal commitment of the day for South Carolina. The Gamecocks also landed former Missouri transfer EDGE Jaylen Brown, who’s one of the top prospects to hit the open market in the early part of the cycle.
Brown appeared in five games this past season as a freshman at Mizzou. He totaled two tackles during that time, and he will have three years of eligibility remaining as he heads to South Carolina.

After entering the portal, Brown came in as the No. 73-ranked player to do so, according to the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings. He’s also the No. 7-ranked EDGE transfer through the first week of the portal window.
South Carolina is also in the mix for Florida transfer EDGE Kelby Collins. He is eyeing a visit to Columbia on Tuesday after he takes a trip to Alabama this weekend, according to On3’s Chad Simmons.
Collins entered the portal last week after spending two seasons with the Gators. He appeared in six games this season and finished the year with six tackles. In his true freshman season in 2023, Collins played in all 12 of the Gators’ games. He finished his debut campaign with 23 tackles, 1.5 tackle-for-loss and sacks, four quarterback hurries, a pass breakup and forced fumble.
