WATCH: South Carolina uses 'Sandstorm' to troll Tennessee, orange helmets after blowout upset win
On top of throwing the race for the fourth playoff spot into chaos and picking up a signature early win of the Shane Beamer era in a 63-38 beatdown of Tennessee, South Carolina threw some excellent shade on Twitter.
The Gamecocks blast “Sandstorm” prior to kickoff at Williams-Brice Stadium for every home game and the South Carolina football social team paid homage to their pregame hype song. And in one fell swoop, they took a good ole’ shot at good ole’ Rocky Top.
“Fixed it for you,” reads the tweet from the South Carolina football account.
As a sweetener, they had a little extra fun at the expense of Tennessee’s orange helmets.

A tweet with no text just shows the front of a Volunteer orange helmet poking out of the sand.
It’s not every week you get to knock off the No. 5 team at home, so might as well get in the drafts and let them rip.

South Carolina fans naturally rushed the field
The Gamecocks stunned the college football world on Saturday night by absolutely throttling the fifth-ranked Tennessee Volunteers with a 63-38 beatdown. The Volunteers lost their star quarterback Hendon Hooker, who went down with what appeared to be a devastating non-contact knee injury. Even with Hooker in the game, the Gamecocks were in firm control of Saturday night’s contest. The closest Tennessee would come to leading would be with 9:30 left in the first quarter. The Volunteers tied it up at 7-7, then, but wouldn’t manage to come close to leading the rest of the way.
The Vols closed the South Carolina lead to 35-31 with 9:53 remaining in the third quarter. Then the Gamecocks proceeded to rattle off 28 unanswered points as they secured one of the biggest victories in the Beamer era in Williams-Brice Stadium. Not surprisingly, the South Carolina home crowd stormed the field to celebrate the massive upset.
