Studio City (Calif.) Harvard-Westlake four-star small forward Brady Dunlap has committed to St. John’s, he tells On3.
“St. John’s has a rich basketball history and I believe in Coach Pitino to bring that back,” Dunlap said to On3. “His history of winning and developing players speaks for itself. He is the best coach in college basketball and I can’t wait to get to work.”
The 6-foot-7 senior was previously signed with Notre Dame but reopened his recruitment after head coach Mike Brey stepped down. Dunlap ultimately chose the Red Storm over offers from Nebraska, North Carolina, Penn State, and Villanova.
Dunlap is the No. 155 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 33 small forward and the No. 25 senior recruit in California.

Brady Dunlap Scouting Report
“Brady Dunlap is a shooter and a scorer. He has great positional size and range that extends well beyond the three-point arc. He can shoot well off the bounce, most of which is stepping into a 3. His handle needs to develop more, but he’s okay off of two dribbles. He’s really confidence from the elbows. He needs strength. Where does he guard? He’s one that if he gets going can ring off a lot of points in a row.” — Jamie Shaw, On3 National Recruiting Analyst
