Las Vegas (Nev.) Trinity International Schools 2024 four-star center Khaman Maker has committed to St. John’s.

The 7-foot-1, 215-pound senior chose Rick Pitino and the Johnnies over offers from Missouri, Arizona State, UNLV, BYU, and others.

“I chose St. John’s University because of Coach Pitino’s passion for the game of basketball,” Maker said to On3. “His desire to create a strong basketball culture with the Red Storm is inspiring, and I hope to be a part of it along the way.”

In his own words, what type of player is St. John’s getting in Maker?

“I’m a team player. Someone who always plays with that desire, the drive to win at any costs.”

Maker has a message to Johnnie fans.

“To all the Red Storm fans, you’re getting a player with a defensive mentality. A person whose heart will always carry and represent Johnnie.”

Maker is the second player in the class of 2024 to choose St. John’s, joining four-star small forward Jaiden Glover, who committed last week.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Maker is the No. 127 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle. He’s also the No. 16 center prospect and the No. 4 player in Nevada. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Khaman Maker does not currently have a publicly listed On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
