Snellville (Ga.) Brookwood four-star quarterback Dylan Lonergan will be taking an official visit to Stanford from June 24-26, according to On3’s Joseph Hastings.

The decision comes a week after he announced his top five of AlabamaFloridaOhio StateSouth Carolina, and Stanford.

It also comes one day after he said the Gamecocks would be getting his first official visit June 10-12.

Lonegren is the No. 82 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the ninth-ranked quarterback and fifth-ranked player from the state of Georgia.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $23k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Dylan Lonergan is a key domino in the 2023 quarterback recruiting cycle

The 2023 quarterback recruiting cycle has many different dynamics at play, and Lonergan is emerging as one of the most interesting pieces in the class.

Lonergan, who also plays baseball and is taking that into consideration as well, has had two teams emerge to the top of his top five, according to On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons.

“Although Lonergan is down to a handful of schools, there is some separation according to a source close to Lonergan,” Simmons said. “The two schools leading the way are South Carolina and Stanford. He has visited Columbia five times and Palo Alto twice. He has connected with Shane Beamer and Marcus Satterfield in Columbia. At Stanford, Tavita Pritchard, and his development of Davis Mills grabbed Lonergan’s attention. ”
