Stanford OL Luke Baklenko plans to enter NCAA transfer portal
Stanford offensive lineman Luke Baklenko plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.
He played two seasons with the team and will now look elsewhere. He appeared in five games as a true freshman.
He played 11 games this season as a sophomore and could be a coveted lineman in the portal.
As a member of the Class of 2023, Baklenko was a three-star recruit out of Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 60 overall prospect in the state, the No. 43 offensive tackle in the class and the No. 710 overall prospect in the class.

One of the all-time players at Stanford, Luck is right at home.
“Yeah, I can’t wait to work with Coach Taylor and the staff and the guys on the team, he’s got the team pointed in the right direction, and we’ve been close,” Luck said on College GameDay. “We’ve been close for a couple years. I had the chance to be on the hiring committee for him. And as everybody knows, in this game, it takes a team to go out and win. It is hard to win football games, and I think we’re putting the right team together.”
Luck won’t just sit back and delegate. He’s going to be heavily involved in improving the program.
“I imagine this being very hands on,” Luck said. “And, yeah, we do have a vision. We absolutely have a vision. And, you know, I think we are under no illusion about the landscape of college sports is well and out there.”
